Journalism all around the world

www.grady.uga.edu/coxcenter

The Web site for the James M. Cox Jr. Center for Mass Communication Training and Research at UGA’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication gives visitors a taste of the variety of activities sponsored by the center.
Visitors can read about this past December’s workshop in Quito, Ecuador, at which journalists and scientists from around the world shared their professional insights about how to help the public understand ecological issues.
Visitors to the site can also find details of the two-week session taught by Lee B. Becker, director of the center, at the new Università della Suizzera italiana in Lugana, Switzerland, in January--complete with the syllabus for the course, which dealt with journalism as it is practiced in the West.
Other Cox Center activities, research, projects, publications and workshops are also covered. Links to related sites are included.
