Flu shots
The University Health Center is offering flu shots for students, faculty, faculty emeritus and staff. Cost is $5 per shot. Shots will be given at the Tate Student Center on Nov. 3 from noon to 2 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
In addition, flu shots are available at the health center throughout the flu season. To make an appointment call 542-5575. Walk-in times at the health center are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Bone health study
Researchers in the department of foods and nutrition are conducting a study to determine if physical activity and proper nutrition during childhood promote optimal bone health and help to prevent osteoporosis, a bone disease common among older women. Girls aged 4 to 8 are sought for the study. Eligible girls will be paid $500 for participation. Call 542-4918 or e-mail bones@uga.edu for more information.
