Honors Program position
The university invites applications for the position of assistant director of the Honors Program. The primary duties of this position will include ongoing development of the Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities, academic advisement for UGA’s premier scholarship students in the Foundation Fellows Program, Honors Program course management and planning and, if suitably qualified, teaching one Honors class per year. A doctorate or other appropriate terminal degree is required.
Letter(s) of interest and résumé should be sent to Jere W. Morehead, associate provost and director of the Honors Program, 115 Academic Building, Campus Mail 6116. Consideration of applicants will begin Nov. 22 and continue until an appointment is made. Starting date is Jan. 1, 2000, or as soon thereafter as possible.

‘A Taste of Georgia’ gift boxes
The UGA Collegiate FFA is selling gift boxes filled with Georgia products. Each “A Taste of Georgia” gift box costs $20 and contains peanuts, peanut brittle, pecan log roll, honey, Vidalia onion relish, peach preserves and blackberry jam. Proceeds support the activities of UGA’s FFA chapter--travel to state and national leadership activities, scholarships and local events. Orders must be placed by Nov. 24 for pickup Dec. 7-9 from noon to 5:30 p.m. in the Four Towers lobby.
