Bringing the Arch(es) home
http://www.arches.uga.edu/netcomm/netcom.html

Problem: You’ve signed up with an Internet service provider (an ISP, in the fashionable jargon) to connect your home computer to the Internet, but you want to read your e-mail on your Arches account, not on the e-mail server the ISP provides you.
Solution: Check out this page on the Arches Web site, which includes step-by-step instructions for changing the Netscape settings on the home computer so it will check for your e-mail on Arches.
More general directions for using a modem and an Internet service provider to connect to Arches can be found at www.arches.uga.edu/dial-in.html.
