International CREATE Conference in Costa Rica

Located on the edge of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Temperatures in this tropical retreat in the mountains stay between the mid 60s - 70s F (16-21°C).

Join us for a professional retreat that will provide opportunities for you to refresh yourself spiritually, and physically as well as mentally.

Registration

Registration for the conference will cost about $750 per person, which will include 5 nights accommodations (1/3-1/7), 3 meals a day, welcome dinner, nature walks, and transportation to and from the airport. Most of the food prepared on site is grown in the facility’s gardens. Coffee is grown and roasted at a nearby farm.

Call for Proposals

We are now accepting presentation proposals for our first biennial CREATE Conference. Please send presentation proposals to CREATE08@uga.edu by September 30, 2007. We will inform you of our decision by October 15, 2007. Presentations slots will be 55 minutes. All presenters must be fully registered for the conference.

Tentative Daily Schedule

TIME ACTIVITY
7:00 - 9:00 morning walk, breakfast, meditation
9:00 - 12:00 sessions
12:00 - 2:00 lunch, casual discussions, nature walks
2:00 - 5:00 sessions
5:00 - 6:30 rest, horseback riding
6:30 dinner
After dinner local entertainment, night hikes, discussions
Some Special activities that we can arrange include: Visit to coffee or botanical farm, trip to artisan village, welcome dinner, bird watching, milking, hike to waterfall traditional cooking butterfly garden organic farm
Optional After Conference Trip to active volcano and beaches for extra cost
