Painting in the Rainforest: A Watercolor Workshop in the Mountains of Costa Rica

Artist (Workshop Leader)
Leigh Ellis Leigh is a professional painter and instructor of watercolor, currently teaching with the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation. She holds an MS degree in biology from the University of Guam and began her art career 19 years ago in biological illustration. She has studied painting and design at the University of Hawaii, Montana State University and participated in Smithsonian Institute workshops. Her paintings have been exhibited in juried and private shows from Hawaii to Georgia, including 10 solo exhibits. Her works have received many awards throughout the Southeast. Leigh has illustrated 5 books for Menasha Ridge Press and one book entitled, The Journeyman's Path, in 2002. She is an active member of the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation and the Georgia Watercolor Society. She has been a juror for the Georgia Junior Duck Stamp contest for the past five years. Leigh has 15 years of teaching experience in watercolor and botanical illustration at local art centers in Montana, Oregon, and Georgia.
Costs
$1,700 includes international airfare, room and board, in-country travel for group excursions and airport transfers, and entrance fees.
Registration Deadline
Completed registration form and a $300 deposit check must be received by March 16, 2007. Final balance is due in full no later than March 30.
