Aurora Maria Thorgerson

Aurora Thorgerson is a native of Zaragoza, Spain. She earned a B.A. in Foreign Languages Spanish and M.A. in Spanish Literatures from Auburn University and her Ph.D. in Philosophy and Romance Languages from the University of Georgia.

She's taught a variety of elementary and intermediate language courses as well as upper-division Spanish courses including Introduction to Hispanic Literatures, Composition and Conversation and Advanced Composition and Conversation. “Having been an English language student myself, I know that a welcoming atmosphere is the basis for embracing the challenging process of learning a foreign language and being receptive to a new culture.” She loves to travel and to learn about new cultures and its people and has traveled all over Europe, Argentina and the United States, and has also visited Canada, Turkey, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Brazil.
