As part of our development efforts to help provide financial support for students on our study abroad programs, UGA Costa Rica actively seeks private contributions for our student scholarship fund. If you would like to help UGA students participate in Costa Rica study abroad programs by making a contribution to the Friends of UGA Costa Rica Scholarship Fund, please visit http://www.uga.edu/costarica/docs/friends/CostaRica0508.pdf
Friends of UGA Costa Rica scholarships will be awarded competitively on the basis of academic excellence and financial need, with priority being given to students who have not previously studied abroad. Friends of UGA Costa Rica Scholarships are available to full-time UGA undergraduate students only. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
As of September 2009, Friends of UGA Costa Rica Scholarships are available only for students accepted to the Art & Culture Maymester 2010 program.
Scholarship applications are due to the UGA Costa Rica Office by 3pm on Friday, March 5, 2010.
