Dr. Paula Mellom

Dr. Paula Mellom is a Research Scientist with the Center for Latino Achievement and Success in education. She has over 20 years' experience teaching English to non-native speakers. Her research centers around second language acquisition and issues of identity and culture. As well as being fluent in Spanish, Dr. Mellom is very familiar with Latino culture and customs as she lived for 10 years in Costa Rica and is married to a Costa Rican.
