Welcome to the Division of Academic Enhancement
The Division of Academic Enhancement (DAE) is a unit of the Office of the Vice President for Instruction at the University of Georgia. DAE's mission is to provide entering and continuing UGA students a wide range of services to support their academic efforts.
DAE offers introductory courses in English, mathematics, reading, and study strategies and a comprehensive Academic Center in Milledge Hall. The Milledge Academic Center (MAC) includes a Learning Center with a computer lab, a peer Tutorial Program, a satellite office for services in the residence halls, and academic success workshops on such issues as time management, stress management, and preparing for exams. DAE also provides CARE, the Freshman College Summer Experience, Regents' Writing and Reading Skills Test preparation, and the TRIO Federal grant programs, that are educational opportunity outreach programs designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
