The Milledge Hall Learning Center

The Milledge Hall Learning Center provides help with math, writing, reading comprehension, reading rate, study strategies, and academic anxiety.

Math

Drop-in tutoring is available for these classes, computer tutorials, and using TI-83 calculators.

Writing

Appointments are available in the Milledge Hall Learning Center for assistance with application essays, articles, dissertations, papers, statements of purpose, and theses. Regents’ Exam essay test preparation is also available. ESL specialists are available for international students.

Reading/Study Strategies

Appointments are available in the Milledge Hall Learning Center for study and test taking strategies, time management, preparation for standardized tests, and introduction to the Ultimate Speed Reader.

Counseling

Appointments are available in the Milledge Hall Learning Center for students who need to complete the TypeFocus and GCIS computer assessments. The graduate assistant for counseling, Andrew Mantini, will be available to administer these tests. To make an appointment, click here. For additional information, contact Andrew Mantini.

Appointments are also available for academic counseling (for example, for test anxiety and performance anxiety); to recognize and understand learning styles and personality styles, and to explore career options.
