Frequently Asked Questions
When should I register for the Regents' reading test?
Students should register to take the test during their first semester at UGA. You must register on OASIS to take the test. University Testing Services offers more information regarding the schedule of the test. You can find the information at http://testing.uga.edu/ or by phone at (706) 542-3183.
I'm registered to take RGTR 0198 but during the summer term only it allows for a time conflict with that of another course I'm taking. Which class do I attend?
Failure to attend RGTR 0198 will prevent you from taking the reading portion of the Regents' test, you will receive a grade of "U," unsatisfactory, in RGTR 0198 for the semester, and you will be blocked from registering for classes the following semester. Therefore, the course whose time conflicts with RGTR 0198 should be dropped, and you should register for a course that's offered at a different time.
