Fall 2008 Online Tutoring for Math, Statistics, and Writing
UNIV 1108, 1110; MATH 1101, 1113, 2200, and 2250; and STAT 2000.
Online math tutoring will start Tuesday, August 19th. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights from 10PM to 12 midnight there will be a tutor available online to answer your questions. You also may post a question to the question/answer center any time and receive a response within 24 hours.
To register for these free services:
- Go to www.nettutor.com.
- Click on register now.
- Fill in the registration information using one of the access codes listed below.
- A password will be sent to the e-mail address you provide when
registering. - Later, you may want to create a new, more easily remembered password. To do this login to nettutor.com using the password sent to you, click on “Manage Account,” then click on “Update my Account,” and change your password.
UNIV 1108, MATH 1101, and STAT 2000 students should register using the access code 3074830210.
UNIV 1110 and MATH 1113 students should register using the access code 3075320304.
MATH 2200 students should register using the access code 3075740309.
To participate in a live session (once registered), login to NetTutor, click on Live Classroom (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights from 10PM to 12 midnight).
ONLINE WRITING TUTORINGSubmit questions, short papers, or excerpts from long papers (maximum of 4 double-spaced pages) to writutor@uga.edu. You should receive a response within 24 hours during weekdays. This is an instructional service to help students become stronger and more confident writers, not a proofreading service. Submission instructions:
- In your email to the tutor, briefly describe the writing assignment.
- Save your paper in rich text format (.rtf) before sending it.
- All papers must be sent from UGAMail via email attachment.
- On the first page of your paper, provide the following:
- your name and UGAMail address
- the course prefix and number (e.g., HIST 2000)
- your instructor’s last name and UGAMail address.
