Student Advisement for UNIV Introductory Courses

- All UNIV introductory courses are 3 hours and carry elective credit toward degree.
- None of the UNIV introductory courses satisfy core requirements for English or mathematics.
- Students with credit in ENGL 1101, ENGL 1102, or ENGL 1102M are not eligible to take UNIV 1115.
- Students with credit in MATH 1101 are not eligible to take UNIV 1108.
- Students with credit in MATH 1113 are not eligible to take UNIV 1110.
- Students whose major requires MATH 1101, Introduction to Mathematical Modeling, should enroll in UNIV 1108.
- Students whose major requires MATH 1113, Pre-calculus, should enroll in UNIV 1110.
- Students who do not place in introductory courses may elect to enroll under certain circumstances. However, other UNIV courses may better meet their needs.
- International students who matriculated after March 1997 are required to take the English Placement Test unless they have credit for ENGL coursework.
