Courses
Courses taught in the Division of Academic Enhancement serve three groups of students:
- All UGA students can enroll in UNIV courses. These courses focusing on skills and strategies that students need to be successful in college and beyond.
- Some students are identified through placement testing at orientation as needing UNIV introductory courses before they take core English, math, and/or reading intensive classes. It is recommended that these students enroll in the appropriate introductory courses to increase their chances for success in the core curriculum. These students have met regular UGA admission standards.
- System-mandated Learning Support students (fewer than 25/year) are admitted to UGA, but do not meet minimum standards on the SAT/ACT and COMPASS Examination in English, mathematics, or reading/studying.
