Learning Support

Students admitted to the University of Georgia with scores below the University System minimum requirements on the SAT/ACT and/or with a College Preparatory Curriculum (CPC) deficiency in English or math are classified as Learning Support (LS) students. Currently, the minimum acceptable SAT scores are 430 SATV and 400 SATM. The minimum acceptable ACT score is 17 for both English and math. Admitted students with scores below the minimum requirements are required to take the COMPASS examination in the corresponding subjects, English and reading and/or math. Scores below 60 on the English, 74 on the reading, and 37 on the mathematics COMPASS classifies the student as Learning Support. The class code of 15 designates a Learning Support student in the Student Information System.
