Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?
All of our tutoring is FREE!
What classes do you tutor?
We tutor these classes. If you don't see a class listed that you need help with, contact us to see if we have a tutor who can help you. Additionally, there might be other resources to help you. For example, for social science courses or other courses with heavy reading loads you might need help with reading or with study strategies, rather than with course content.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Visit this page for information.
How long are the appointments?

Peer tutoring appointments are 50 minutes long and are scheduled on the hour. Writing tutoring appointments are 30 minutes to 1 hour. Reading and study strategies appointments are 1 hour long.

How often can I receive tutoring?
You may attend the drop-in tutoring as often as you like. You can schedule up to two appointments per class per week, for example, up to two tutoring appointments for math, two for Spanish, and two for chemistry each week.
How many people are in a tutoring session?
In addition to the tutor, the sessions generally are limited to three students, but frequently have just one or two.
How far in advance can I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment up to seven days in advance. It's a good idea to schedule early, because appointments fill quickly.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Review instructions on canceling an appointment in TutorTrac. Please cancel at least 2 days in advance of the appointment, or you are considered a no show. This allows us time to schedule someone else in your place, or to give your tutor the opportunity to schedule another activity at that time. After two no shows, students are placed on two-week suspension from tutoring. Students are suspended from using our tutoring services for the rest of the semester after three no shows.

Do you have tutors I can pay for private tutoring?
