Delta Phi Epsilon's Psi Chapter was founded at the University of Georgia on March 28, 1935. In 1952, the chapter became a part of the local Panhellenic Council as Delta Phi Epsilon International Sorority decided to join the National Panhellenic Council. Originally located on Milledge Avenue, the chapter moved to a newly designed house on South Lumpkin Avenue in 1968. Several activities and traditions have been established and have remained throughout the years:
Chapter Mascot: The Pink Panther
The Beth Goldman Scholarship: Beth Goldman was an outstanding member of Psi Chapter from 1984 to 1988. The Beth Goldman Scholarship is awarded, in her memory, to an outstanding fourth year senior who is an example of the Delta Phi Epsilon Standards and represents the best of what the sorority has to offer. The award is given at the Spring Scholarship Banquet and is considered the chapter's highest honor.
Other Chapter Activities: Crush Parties, Socials, Date Nights, Sisterhood Retreats, Fall Party (fall semi-formal), Purple Iris Ball (spring formal), Scholarship Banquet, Joe DphiE study sessions, ANAD Candlelight Vigil, Relay For Life, and other service activities. Sisters are also active on campus in activities such as the Student Government Association, Literary and Honor Societies, Campus Outreach, the Redcoat Band, the club fencing team, Students Against Apathy, and many more organizations.
