Life Space Crisis Intervention Training
Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI) is a verbal method of supporting students in crisis while assisting them to gain insight into their own behaviors. LSCI is used as a major strategy with students in Stages Three and Four and frequently with students in Stage Five.
Adults find LSCI helpful and effective in:
- Conveying understanding
- Building relationships
- Resolving crises
- Fostering responsible behavior
Problem-solving strategies target:

Conflicts imported from home or street

Distorted thinking and skill deficits

Destructive peer relationships and bullying

Anti-social values and lack of conscience

Serious conflicts with authority

Problems of anger or alienation
