Site 1: Kaamulan Festival



The Kaamulan Festival, an annual gathering of different ethnic groups in Bukidnon, was the exploratory site for the memory banking project.


Different tribal groups were housed in communal houses in one general area, thus facilitating casual, unstructured interviews and a pre-test of some methods.


Bukidnon woman demonstrates with the use of yarn how sweet potato cuttings are twirled in a circle when planting.
