| When an accredited institution significantly modifies or expands its scope, or changes the nature of its affiliation or its ownership, a substantive change review is required.
When an accredited institution enters an agreement with another entity to offer one or more academic programs, the SACS policy on joint curricular ventures must also be met. Use the joint curricular venture checklist to assure programs meet SACS requirements as they are developed.
Please note: in most cases, a new joint curricular venture is also a substantive change.
If you have any question about whether a change in your area could possibly be a substantive change and/or a joint curricular venture, please contact the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, 542-2558.
