Key Institutional Information


The Office of Institutional Effectiveness has overall responsibility for assuring that key institutional information is collected and available to members of the University community and others who may need it. While detailed data is available on the Institutional Research site, links to some frequently referenced information are available below.

UGA's Carnegie Classification
As of the 2005 Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, the University of Georgia is classified as a RU/VH: Research Universities (very high research activity).  UGA is an institution that offers a wide range of baccalaureate programs and is committed to graduate education through the doctorate.
