- Make sure that everyone has a copy of our schedule of events
- For those who are new or prospective members and are unfamiliar with our club
- We are a professional student organization
- We seek to promote fellowship among those who share an interest in the Environmental Sciences
- We assist local professionals with special projects
- We establish professional contacts for students for future career opportunities or internships
- Announcements
- T-shirt design is complete. T-shirts are ordered and should be available for pick-up in Sandra's office on Friday.
- Activities Fair was a success. 32 people signed up for more info, 7 people signed up for Rivers Alive.
- Dr. Dore gave a wonderful lecture on graduate school and PhD programs. The turnout was low.
- Rivers Alive, river cleanup will take place on October 26th. 30 minute pre-event meeting on Thursday, October 24th at 5 pm, room 101 for those attending.
- Everyone should get involved! See Fletcher (volunteering), Nathan/Jason (AAH), Lauren/Jennifer (AAS), Brandon (Ag Hill)….
- We need an SGA representative (see Nicki): meeting each Tuesday at 7 pm, room 151 Tate
- Pecan order forms are available-Eva
- Rafting trip signups are going on until October 9th, trip will be on October 20th-Katie
- Introduce Speaker-CAPT Gary Noonan from the USPHS and CDC
- Information given on career and internship opportunities with the U.S. Public Health Service
- Slides shown from trip to Egypt with lead problem associated with millstones
- Slides also shown from trip to Russia.
- Pamphlets and CD-ROMS passed out detailing USPHS information
