University Theatre presents ‘Clybourne Park'
The University Theatre will open its run of "Clybourne Park" Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. in the Cellar Theatre at the Fine Arts Building. Winner of the 2012 Tony Award for Best Play, an Olivier Award and the Pulitzer Prize, this satiric comedy about race and real estate spins off of Lorraine Hansberry's "Raisin in the Sun" to follow one house over 50 years, from the era of segregation to gentrification. It also will be performed Sept. 26, 30 and Oct. 1-3 at 8 p.m. and Sept. 28 and Oct. 5 at 2:30 p.m. The admission cost is $16, or $12 for students.
