Renowned faculty tubist to perform

Internationally recognized tubist David Zerkel will perform a recital of original compositions and transcriptions for solo tuba Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. in Ramsey Concert Hall. The performance is part of the Hugh Hodgson Faculty Series. Tickets are $10, or $5 with a UGA student ID.

Freedom Sings to kick off Grady celebration
Freedom Sings, a program of the First Amendment Center featuring an all-star cast of musicians playing music that has been banned or censored or has sounded a call for social change, will perform Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. at The Classic Center in downtown Athens. The concert kicks off a year of centennial celebrations for the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Complimentary tickets are available through The Classic Center box office at 706-357-4444.
