Phi Gamma Delta stresses athletics, social events, and campus activities; however, it remembers always that the pursuit of knowledge and solid academics is the most important part of the college experience for its members. Kappa Deuteron takes this commitment to education very seriously and has had a great deal of success in the realm of academics throughout its existence.

Kappa Deuteron's grade point average has exceeded the University's all-male grade point average every year of its existence.

The fraternity's members also receive, yearly, various local and national Phi Gamma Delta scholarship grants along with grants sponsored by the Interfraternity Council.
