Athens' best kept secret is our two hour variety show, The Hoot, which happens every second Monday of the month.

Each show features three to five acts, each doing short sets of blues, old time, bluegrass, folk, or anything else that acoustic music lovers would want to hear. We always have a good variety, from young musicians performing for the first time in public, to Athens' seasoned rockers doing an un-plugged set.

Everyone enjoys the relaxed and personal atmostphere. The Hoot is an early show, too, 8-10pm, and it starts and ends on time for working folks' busy schedules.

We stage our shows during the winter at The Normaltown Cafe on Prince Ave., and during the warmer months we move outside to Loco's Courtyard off Baxter Street. Look for updates here on the website and in the Flagpole
