Tip Layering. This is used for
black raspberries, hybrids, trailing
types, and thornless mutants in lieu of root cuttings. In late summer,
when canes have numerous shoot tips, shoot tips are buried in shallow
holes. Lateral roots form on stems, and the following spring, layered
