Removing yourself from the listserv is just as easy.  In this case the word in the body of the message would simply be:

unsub gaie-l
 

In joining the listserv you will be included in a directory of its members.  The directory is updated continually.  It's location is provided to new members as they subscribe to the listserv, and a reminder of it's location is periodically sent to the listserv audience.  It's location is intentionally not included on this public web site. 

Please note how the listserv and directory are intended to work together, as described below.

If you have information to share or an announcement that is likely to be relevant to a large portion of the listserv audience of international educators, please choose a subject line that describes your topic and share it accordingly.

If you have a question or are doing some kind of research or survey, please start with the directory to see if you can isolate the people to whom your inquiry would best be directed.  For questions having to do with the daily procedural matters surrounding our work, consider contacting some of the individuals listed at this site: http://www.uga.edu/gaie/officers.htm, or alternatively, people who are listed on the directory within the general category of expertise or responsibility that you're concerned with (whether admissions personnel, DSOs, study abroad advisors, etc.)
