SCHEDULING DOCENT-LED TOURS
The Georgia Museum of Art welcomes groups to visit its exhibitions free of charge. Tour group size is limited to 50 people. One responsible adult must accompany every 10 students. Guided tours are given by appointment. Please make reservations two to four weeks in advance. Tours usually last from 45 minutes to one hour. Groups may schedule guided tours by calling 706.542.4662.
MUSEUM CLOSING FOR UPDATES
The museum will be closed for updates to the sprinkler system beginning May 5, 2008. New exhibitions will open July 19th.

Art Adventures: Imaginative Landscapes
This summer, the Georgia Museum of Art will host its second annual community-wide outreach program. These one-hour workshops will be held at children's organizations in and around Clarke County and will be based on works in the permanent collection of the Georgia Museum of Art. Children will learn about painting landscapes and then create their own. Registration will begin on May 12. For more information, call 706.542.4662. Family Day: Summer Landscapes

Create a landscape based on your favorite memory of the summer! See landscape paintings from the collection of the museum and learn some of the techniques artists use to make landscapes. Also, stop by the museum shop to see Grady Thrasher's latest children's book, Tim and Sally's Beach Adventure, and meet the author! You can also create your own sandcastle to take home.
