Lanora Pierce
Preparator

Lanora Pierce, preparator, has worked for the department of exhibition installation since 1996 and has installed over 300 exhibitions and facilitated more than100 traveling exhibitions on behalf of the Georgia Museum of Art.

She holds a B.F.A. (1996) and M.F.A. (2005) in drawing and painting from the University of Georgia's Lamar Dodd School of Art where she received a research and performance grant from the Center for Humanities and Arts (2005) and was recipient of the Mike Nicholson Scholarship for study abroad in Cortona, Italy.  

As an artist, her paintings and sculpture have been included in numerous exhibitions across the U.S. as well as in Cortona, Italy and most recently at Fay Gold Gallery, a premier contemporary art gallery in Atlanta and Chicago. Pierce served as a member, officer and volunteer for the UGA staff council where she has served as parliamentarian, recording secretary and executive council member.

Other community service includes membership on the Ten-Year   Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee for the city of Winterville, Ga.; Habitat for Humanity; and the Carter-Coile Country Doctor's Memorial Museum in Winterville, Ga.
