Jenny Collard Williams, media relations coordinator, is responsible for all of the marketing and promotions of the museum, as well as its media relations. This includes preparing press releases and media information packets, responding to media requests, fostering good and beneficial relationships between the museum and the community, and developing and executing an overall marketing plan for the Georgia Museum of Art.
Prior to joining the museum, Williams was employed with Mason Murer Fine Art in Atlanta, where she was responsible for a number of marketing functions. Her major areas of concentration included artist and client relations and the planning and execution of major gallery and art-related events. In the summer of 2006, Williams played an integral role in the development of Embrace: The Fine Art Fair of the National Blacks Arts Festival as the fair's coordinator in its inaugural year.
Williams received her bachelor's degree in art marketing with a focus in printmaking and art history from North Georgia College and State University. Prior to graduation, she served as both president and vice president of the NGCSU Student Activities Board. She also earned an internship in curatorial studies from the University of West Georgia after completion of extended study in France.
Williams moved to Athens in March of 2007 and married Athens native, Ben Williams, in January of 2008.
