Carissa DiCindio
Assistant Curator of Education

Carissa DiCindio, assistant curator of education, graduated summa cum laude with a B.F.A. in Studio Art from Kutztown University and studied abroad in Cortona, Italy with the University of Georgia in 1999. She entered the master's program at the University of Georgia in 2001 with an assistantship in the Writing Intensive Program and graduated with an M.A. in art history in 2005.

She began as an assistant in the education department in 2003. DiCindio has written Teaching Packets for educators of grades K-12 in conjunction with the exhibitions Conversion to Modernism: The Early Work of Man Ray and Coming Home: American Paintings, 1930-1950, from the Schoen Collection, and for the museum's three Spring 2007 exhibitions.

As assistant curator of education, she is responsible for organizing Family Days and coordinates both the intern and the outreach programs at the Georgia Museum of Art.
