Employment Opportunities
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are important contributors to the success of the museum. A variety of volunteer opportunities are available at the Georgia Museum of Art. Volunteers work in the Museum Shop, in the museum library, as docents, during special events, and during educational events. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please contact the appropriate department.
Intern Opportunities
Interns are expected to work approximately 12-15 hours per week and are required to attend one special event during the semester. Internships at GMOA are non-credit. And while unpaid, GMOA interns gain valuable experience and contacts. Former interns have found employment at the High Museum of Art, Monticello, ZooAtlanta, the Weather Channel, the Chronicle of Higher Education, and the Red Cross.
If you are interested in an internship at the Georgia Museum of Art, please fill out an application and contact the department in which you are interested.
