| Scholarship News: Our goal was met! The Garden Club of Georgia awarded a total of more than $100,000 during the past two years in scholarships and grants to deserving Georgia college students majoring in garden related fields. Funds came from the sale of the 2008 and 2009 Engagement Calendars or direct donations. We wish to thank everyone who supported this program.
National Convention: Georgia will be hosting the 2010 National Convention at the Omni in Atlanta, May 14-16. We will be offering true southern hospitality to the visitors from around the country. All Georgia Club members are encouraged to participate in the convention; the programs and speakers are fantastic. See details on our Convention page and in the Winter 2009/2010 issue of Garden Gateways. Fall Annual District Meetings: The Seven Districts are hosting their winter board meetings during January and February. Club officers and Board Members can share information and plans for the spring events. See the Master Calendar for dates and times. |
