| Scholarship News: Our goal was met! The Garden Club of Georgia awarded a total of more than $100,000 during the past two years in scholarships and grants to deserving Georgia college students majoring in garden related fields. Funds came from the sale of the 2008 and 2009 Engagement Calendars or direct donations. We wish to thank everyone who supported this program.
National Convention: The Garden Club of Georgia and its member clubs were recognized many, many times this past spring at the National Convention for their outstanding accomplishments during the previous year. GCG walked away with a bushel full of awards, including Best Website! Fall Annual District Meetings: Each of the seven districts is planning an exciting meeting for its members. Check October 2009 in the Master Calendar for dates and times. |
