Gardener's Spring Song
There's greenness, there's cleanness
and freshness everywhere,
Fruit blossoms and spring flowers
mumble jumbled in the air.
The earth is warm and waiting.
It's time for spade and hoe,
And I'd rather be right here today
than any place I know!

Summer Tip
Don't throw away any left over iced tea from a visitor's glass. Let it come to room temperature and use it on your indoor houseplants. It is both a fertilizer and an insecticide.

Spring Tip
If you have indoor plants that like to travel outdoors in the spring, remember to move them gradually. On the first nice day, take them out for an hour or so and then take them back indoors; repeat this routine until they get used to the change and can be left out full-time until colder weather returns.
