Flower Show Schools

These designs were created by Carolyn Hawkins of Jonesboro, Ga. At left is a line mass design using Mahonia aquifolium (Oregon Grape Mahonia). The bloom of the Mahonia is combined with Daffodils and Mahonia foliage to create a strong vertical design. The design at right is a traditional line mass design using Daffodils, Liatris, and Exochorda (Pearl Bush).
Flower Show Schools, sponsored by the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc., offer classes in the art of interpretive flower design. The classes provide study in horticulture, design, and flower show procedure. By joining a member garden club and attending a Flower Show School, you'll be on your way to creating your own artistic designs with flowers. Visit this page to learn more!
