Don't miss your opportunity to shape the future of GEAC!

At the conference closing breakfast on November 18, the GEAC membership will select new officers as well as vote upon changes to the GEAC bylaws. Traditionally the slate of proposed new officers is presented beforehand and voted upon by the entire present GEAC membership during its annual open meeting. This year, however, alterations to the GEAC bylaws will also be presented. The impetus behind the changes was to update the bylaws to reflect the changing nature of the Educational Advancement profession and include all the professionals charged with such work within Georgia. Bylaws with proposed alteration will be included in conference packets and voted upon during the same session in which officers will be approved. Future changes in the GEAC officer and board member line up include:

Officers: President: Sloan Jones, Gainesville College
President-elect: Betsy Green, Georgia Youth Science and Coming Technology Centers, Inc.
Immediate Past President (2005): Martha Pirkle, LaGrange College
Secretary (2007): Caroline Fielding, Darton College
Treasurer (2007): Sue Chipman, Macon State College
