GEAC Newsletter | Winter 2005
GEAC Debuts New Web PresenceThe GEAC newsletter has promised you a new and innovative web product for the last year as the board has worked with designers, writers, and dozens of GEAC members all over the state to create a web site that works well for everyone. Now, at the upcoming Winter Conference, GEAC members will finally get to see and interact with a web site designed just for them.
The new GEAC Web site creates an online community for GEAC members, including current member directories, upcoming event and conference information, news, and GEAC background material.
There will also be an archive of newsletter articles for future reference. And the new GEAC web site allows GEAC members more opportunities to network and share information with colleagues than ever before. The web-enabled site allows member institutions to share news, events, human resources information, and more -even to update their directory information -directly from their desktops.
The new site is as simple and intuitive as possible, with no training necessary for most web-savvy users. Attendees of the Winter Conference will be the first to experience the new web site and will be able to navigate the new site with Jan Beckley, a University of Georgia designer, who constructed it. As we celebrate the past, don't miss this opportunity to be part of GEAC's future.
