The fall of 2008 proved to be a great semester for philanthropic endeavors of Beta Delta Chapter.  We were extremely happy with the success of our Delt Winter Wonderland.  This event serves the community by allowing underprivileged children to visit the Shelter where they can see Santa Claus, eat some great food, and engage in fun holiday activities otherwise not available to them.  It also includes a sorority wide toy drive, in which all toys collected are donated to DEFACS to be distributed among the community’s needy families.  As always we continue to have a strong connection with Chase Street Elementary School by tutoring the students and helping the school put on various functions to benefit the students and their families.   
Spring is just around the corner and with it arrives many philanthropic opportunities for Beta Delta Chapter.  Currently, we are in the beginning stages of Relay for Life.  Our team consists of Alpha Gamma Delta and ourselves.  In the upcoming weeks we have many fundraising ideas to help support the event and hope to have the best showing of support at UGA.  We also have our Movie on the Lawn scheduled with Kappa Delta which benefits UGA Miracle.  Beta Delta Chapter of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity is always dedicated to the community and strives for our philanthropic endeavors to be superior at the University of Georgia.  As always, we welcome any comments and suggestions to improve our efforts and to gain new ideas that will benefit the community.
