What We Do
Golden Key recognizes only the highest-
achieving
students at select
universities
worldwide; membership in the Society places
you among an exclusive
group of students
distinguished by their remarkable
academic
accomplishments.
Once you join, you will
also
have opportunities for community service on
the chapter, regional and maybe even
international
levels.
Academic Recognition
Golden Key invites only the top 15%
of undergraduate students to join (juniors
and seniors
in the U.S., and second-year
and higher students in
other countries).
The Society emphasizes diversity
and
strengthens its relevance by recognizing
students
in all fields of study, regardless
of part- or full-time
status.
Choosing to
affiliate yourself with Golden
Key makes
an impressive statement
to others about
your academic achievements and your
commitment
to success.
We encourage you
to include this distin
-
ction on your résumé
or curriculum vitae.
Induction Ceremony
Golden Key inducts new members each
year during
a special ceremony on every
chapter's campus,
where your friends and
family are welcome to share
in your
honor.
Each new member comes forward to
receive
a certificate of membership
and a personalized
press release announcing selection to the
Society,
which
may be sent to a hometown
newspaper. A
reception follows where you
will have
a chance to
mingle and meet chapter
leaders and newly inducted
honorary
members.
Lifetime Membership
When you join Golden Key, the benefits
available
to you do not end once you
walk
across the stage
at commencement. As a
lifetime member, you can
continue
to receive
benefits and remain involved in
the Society
for many years to
come through our
network
of corporate sponsors, partners, and
various
alumni
clubs.
Scholarships
Golden Key continually works toward
increasing
its scholarships and awards
programs. With 18
active programs last
year, the Society honored more
than
700
members with exclusive scholarships
totaling more than US $400,000.
