Images of people trying to survive in a war zone
Nearly hidden amidst a sea of women in black shrouds, this little girls face caught the attention of photojournalist Mandi Wright (BFA 97), who was on assignment in Baghdad for the Detroit Free Press. These women were reacting to a mass prayer delivered by rebel Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, whose followers are currently engaged in heavy fighing against U.S. forces.
