Uga V named No. 1 mascot by Sports Illustrated!

According to the April 28, 1997 Sports Illustrated issue on America's Top 50 Jock Schools, Uga V is the country's best mascot. Said SI, "If you can't appreciate the swaggering gait and Churchillian physiognomy of Uga V, the Bulldogs' bulldog, you must be a cat lover." And now Uga has his own coffee table book! Uga . . . The Book!

Sanford Stadium fans chant "Damn Good Dogs!" when a retiring Uga passes his spiked collar to his successor, and that's the title of Sonny Seiler's new coffee table book, which chronicles the 46-year history of UGA's bulldog mascots.
