New show includes UGA professor, alumni

A UGA forestry professor is taking his message to the airwaves. Wildlife management Professor Karl V. Miller (PhD ’85) will co-host a new Outdoor Channel show called “Quality Whitetails,” featuring deer biology, deer management and deer hunting. The weekly show, developed and produced by the Quality Deer Management Association, is unlike other hunting shows because it focuses on sound management and stewardship of natural resources, Miller says. Brian Murphy (MS ’91), executive director of QDMA, and Joe Hamilton (MS ’78) also will co-host the show.
