New York artist Laura Loving (BFA ’93) will bring her bold colors and whimsical designs to Atlanta this month as part of The Junior League’s Tour of Kitchens. Loving’s paintings will be part of the tour’s kickoff party and silent auction on March 15 at 7 p.m.
Raised in an Atlanta suburb, Loving majored in fabric design at UGA and minored in painting. She is known for her colorful paintings of skylines, animals, people and flowers. In 2005, she was commissioned to create the artwork for the Fall Cabaret Convention at Jazz at Lincoln Center. She returns to Georgia and other southeastern states regularly for exhibits. In 1998, she created the official serigraph for Music Midtown. You can view her work at www.lauraloving.com.
