The UGA Menís basketball team followed a dismal regular season by winning four consecutive games in the SEC tournament and upsetting Arkansas for the tournament title. The win earned the team a berth in the NCAA championship. They lost in the first round to Xavier. The Bulldogs finished the regular season ranked last in the SEC eastern division, with a lackluster 17-17 record overall, 4-12 in the conference.
