Bulldog book club

English Professor Fran Teague (left) and UGA Librarian Nadine Cohen discuss The Color Purple by Alice Walker at a recent meeting of the Bulldog Book Club. Teague started the on-campus club with the help of the library in 2006. Students, staff and faculty are invited to the monthly meetings, held at the Main Library or the Student Learning Center. Teague picked the first book, The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger. Since then, participants have selected the books themselves. Books read and discussed so far include Beloved by Toni Morrison, Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling.
