The Bulldogs defeated the University of Hawaii 41-10 in the Jan. 1 Allstate Sugar Bowl at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, setting a school record for the most points scored in a bowl game. The 31-point margin was the largest in Georgia Bowl history. This was Georgia’s ninth Sugar Bowl, its second in three years, and it extended the school’s record for consecutive years in post-season play to 11. UGA ended the season ranked second in the AP poll.
