The Gym Dogs brought home their fourth consecutive national championship—the program’s ninth—with two gymnasts, sophomores Grace Taylor and Courtney McCool, winning individual NCAA titles. Georgia gymnasts have won 33 individual titles, the most of any team. Suzanne Yoculan was named National Coach of the Year for the fifth time in her 25- year career as head coach. In addition to the national titles, Yoculan has led teams to 16 SEC titles and 20 NCAA regional titles, and her teams have been among the top three in the nation for the last 22 years. Yoculan, who announced she would retire after the 2009 season, captured her 800th career victory during the NCAA championship.
