A UGA education. Closer than you think.

Students who want the quality and value of a University of Georgia education can now pursue a variety of undergraduate or graduate degrees at UGA’s Griffin Campus.

The undergraduate programs, first offered in Griffin in 2005, are degree-completion programs for transfer students or those seeking a second bachelor’s degree. Seven undergraduate majors are now offered, plus graduate programs in agricultural leadership and education.

UGA’s Griffin Campus, located 40 miles south of Atlanta, was established as the Georgia Experiment Station in 1888. Construction of a new student learning center was recently completed. A dedication ceremony took place Aug. 26, 2009 and classes are now being held in the building. See The Griffin Campus for photos from the event.

H1N1 and seasonal flu recommendations

Spread the word, not the flu

UGA and University Health Center officials continue to monitor the spread of the H1N1 virus. UGA is following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for college and university environments.

The new student learning center, shown above, was funded in large part through a
$10 million special purpose local option sales tax approved by Spalding County voters in November 2005.
